FAQs

What ages is your program open to?

The Education+ Tutoring Program is designed for students in Pre-K through 12th grade, while our enrichment courses are tailored for students in grades 3–5.

Where do your programs take place?

All of our programs are held virtually on Zoom. You’ll receive a link for both tutoring sessions and enrichment classes prior to your scheduled time.

How much do your programs cost?

Education+ is 100% free!

If you are interested in making a donation to help our program continue to run please email educationplus123456@gmail.com.

Will you have other enrichment courses?

Yes! We’re always open to offering new courses based on student interest. We hope to bring back our Code Explorers course this January and introduce a new STEM Design course as well. If your student is passionate about a particular subject and you’d like to see it offered, please email us at educationplus123456@gmail.com.

Who are the tutors?

Education+ tutors are undergraduate students at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Our tutors are from a variety of majors, interests, and backgrounds.

Do I need to be present during the session?

We ask that a parent or guardian be present in the same space during each class to help ensure a safe and supportive learning environment.

We also encourage you to check in and see what your child is learning, it’s a great way to stay involved and engaged!

What do I need to do before a tutoring session?

Before each session, please communicate with your tutor about how to make the most of your time together. If your student will be working on homework, please send a picture of the assignment beforehand. If you’d like the tutor to provide a lesson, share a general idea of the topic, grade level, and content area. This information will also be requested when signing up for a tutoring session.

Please be on time for your session, and if you expect to be late, let your tutor know in advance.
